Clinicians, scientists, students, and patients – welcome! We are thrilled to have you here. Our mission is to improve the lives of patients who have or recovering from a critical illness (i.e. sepsis and acute respiratory failure). Our work involves people living in our Commonwealth, the United States, and the around world. At the heart of our research lab is improving the assessment and treatment of symptoms and impairments related to Post Intensive Care Syndrome (PICS). Research and innovation serve as the foundation for advancing medical and rehabilitation care to ultimately improve patient outcomes. We are deeply committed to basic, translational, and clinical research across the spectrum of recovery (from initial diagnosis in the ICU to years of recovery).
